Mindfulness Fundamentals for Teens/Youth

MINDFULNESS FUNDAMENTALS FOR TEENS & YOUTH

While meditation and mindfulness stem from timeless principles, they can be most easily understood within the context of situations and topics that feel familiar and close to our day-to-day experiences.

Adults, for example, learn mindfulness and meditation well when they can relate it to scenarios related to career, family, relationships, financial stress. Meanwhile, a teenager may be more likely to learn and use mindfulness and meditation when they can see how the practices positively affect their relationships to school, friends, social pressures, technology, sports, and identity.

In this special youth/teen-focused curriculum, the content is focused on real-life challenges faced by young people so they can benefit from these timeless principles, methods, and techniques.
