What is a Mystery School?

A Mystery School is a group of “initiates” committed to preserving, protecting and perpetuating teachings that hold sacred wisdom essential to helping human beings live enlightened, empowered lives.

Throughout the ages, 7 Ancient Mystery Schools have existed behind the scenes, providing services such as healing and outreach to the public. To those “who have eyes to see and ears to hear,” however, they have offered something more: a framework for understanding the true nature of the universe.

Mystery school initiates are called by many names: Guardians, Protectors, Lightworkers, Light Bearers, Healers, Record Keepers, Magicians, and Watchers. These individuals devote their time and energy to service and self-mastery, to help create peace on Earth.

Why all the secrecy?

There was a time in our ancient history when humanity lived, thought, and acted with an enlightened awareness. But our enlightenment was a threat to certain forces that sought to control us.

These forces conspired to seize and/or eliminate the wisdom of our sacred teachings in order to disempower and destroy our connection to the Source of Creation. Our ancestors needed to conceal and encode these teachings and rites to protect them.

For this reason, mystery school teachings have been kept under lock and key in their respective institutions. This wisdom was so closely guarded it was no longer shared with all of humanity. Rather, it was passed down from generation to generation of trustworthy, devout individuals sworn to keep the teachings alive in the world. For many ages, very few people were allowed access to the teachings. One would have to be invited into the school and observed for a long time to determine their worth and potential as an initiate.

Six of the seven ancient mystery schools in the world still operate in this way. The Modern Mystery School is the only “open” mystery school that allows anyone who aspires to higher knowledge to do so while living in and among the world (instead of dwelling in an abbey or monastery outside of society).

Our planet is in the middle of some massive energy shifts. Humanity is reawakening to our true divine nature. The Modern Mystery School believes in giving everyone the right to choose to pursue the path of initiation into the Light, by creating the opportunity and opening its doors to all who seek it.
